Awhadi Maraghei

Awhad al-Din Maraghei was an Iranian orator, poet and mystic during the 7th century AH. He received the special attention of Sultan Abu Saeed. He was a Sufi and praised Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) frequently in his Divan, hence his poems were well received by the Iranian people. He is the author of Divan of Awhadi Maraghei, Jam-e Jam, and Mantiq al-Ushshaq.

Hassan Shirazi

Muhammad Hussain Shirazi was the painter, calligrapher and poet of the 13th century AH. He followed a dervish path while he was a painter who dealt with poverty and contentment. He mostly painted flowers, birds and single portraits and was skilled at illumination and halkari (dissolved-gold work). He produced three pen cases with floral and bird designs.

Mu’een al-Din Yazdi

Maulana Mo’een al-Din Mu’allim Yazdi was an Iranian writer in the 8th century AH and during the reign of the Muzaffar Family. He was the most knowledgeable among the men of knowledge and the highest of the jurists in his time. He is praised for his piety and virtue. He also wrote Arabic poems some of which appear in Mawahib Ilahiya. He rendered translation of the book Rashaf al-Nasa’ih al-Imaniyyah, and compiled Mawahib Ilahiya.
